    Jatarra holds a Professional Counselor Associate License. She provides care for individuals ranging from young adults to older adults. She is passionate about helping individuals strive through and overcome challenges and achieve their therapeutic goals. She strives to ensure that every individual she works with feels seen, heard, and validated throughout their therapeutic journey.

    She earned a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Springfield College-Springfield, MA, after receiving a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Bridgeport-Bridgeport, CT.

    Jatarra has worked with an array of diagnoses and populations. She utilizes a Person-Centered/Holistic approach through Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychoeducation, and Mindfulness. Jatarra works towards providing a “brave” space where clients can work through stressors, develop coping strategies, and achieve a stronger sense of stability and wellness.

    As your therapist, I am more than a professional guide-I strive to be a compassionate partner in your journey toward healing and growth. Meeting you where you are is most important. My dedication to this field is rooted in my own experiences, which fuels my passion for educating others about the importance of mental health and advocating for greater representation and understanding in all communities. Beyond my clinical work, I am committed to breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health, particularly in underserved communities. I believe that everyone deserves access to quality mental health care, and I am here to walk alongside you, offering support, empathy, and encouragement as you navigate your own path to wellness.
