Khadija Emery, LMSW
Khadija Emery, LMSW is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the State of Connecticut with specialized experience in mental health and behavioral health services for women, children, and families. Her areas of focus include domestic violence, homelessness, and supporting individuals from disadvantaged and underserved communities.
She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. Khadijia has extensive experience providing individual, group, and family therapy, and she works with clients ranging from young children as early as age five to adolescents and adults up to age sixty.
Khadijia utilizes a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and systems-focused interventions. Her clinical work emphasizes emotional awareness-particularly emotions such as sadness and anger-and how these emotions are directly connected to behaviors and life experiences.
She is deeply passionate about working with marginalized and disadvantaged populations and is committed to helping individuals who face significant life challenges. Khadijia believes that everyone deserves access to treatment that is therapeutic, empathetic, and life-changing. Her goal is to both educate and be educated through the therapeutic process, engaging clients in meaningful experiences that foster reflection, healing, and personal growth. In her free time, she enjoys exercising and spending quality time with her family.
